Sue, we were so saddened to hear about Pete. We will miss his visits at the cottage. The last time we were up last summer Pete came over and sat by our fire pit and we caught up about our families.
Chip & Donna Stearns left a message on April 21, 2022:
We are still in shock at the sad news. Just talked to Pete in front of our house 2 weeks ago and he told us about his new health challenge. But to hear what happened so quickly after that is a true shock. We lived by Pete and his family for many years and our section of the neighborhood has always been very close. Our kids grew up together. We would stop at their vacation home in Pelican Lake on trips to Eagle River where we have relatives. Later on my son would take out a snow plow in the winter for Pete and Stano to help out. I only took one picture of Pete that I have, taken at a party at our house in September 2005 of Pete and a much younger version of his son. I've attached it to this and hope it is visible to all who look here (if I did it right). Donna and I send our deepest condolences. Know we are thinking of you and wish Pete could be back with us all. Keep all the good warm thoughts of him alive and in that way he will always be with us. God bless.

What a void we ALL have. I worked with Pete for over 25 years and he was indeed a teacher, Mr. "Fix It" of anything and Mr. Host as a master griller. My biggest surprise was how this big strapping "he-man" made the most beautiful holiday bows from ribbon. Words cannot express how we will miss him. Weber Family.......we mourn his loss with you but we are so enriched to have had him in our lives. May our memories bring us comfort. It was an honor. Thank you.
