Peter Walter Gerhardt, 61, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born on February 29, 1964 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Father to Hendrix. Beloved son to William and Princess Gerhardt, loving brother to Robert Gerhardt and Jill Gevaart. Beloved uncle to Lynne Milbrath, Jonathan Gevaart, Samantha Gevaart, and Jaclyn Gerhardt.
Pete joins his parents, uncles, and grandparents in eternal life. We are sad to say goodbye to him here on Earth, but joyful he can live and laugh with his loved ones he’s been apart from for so long.
Pete moved to Arizona when he was 22 years old, where he started his career at Frys and Pepsi. He created a home for himself in Arizona but never forgot about his home in Wisconsin – he always made summer trips up to Wisconsin to spend time with his family & friends, often times all the way up to Hayward, WI, one of his favorite and most cherished places.
Pete created many friends through his wit and sense of humor. He could find humor in every day of his life, and he helped many others find it too. As humorous as he was, he was also a caring, quiet and calming friend – he was someone that would truly listen, and made people feel heard. He lived his whole life with a giving spirit. The life-long relationships he created during his life are proof of his selfless, caring, and goofy character. His laughter, smiles, wit, and selflessness will be missed immensely by his people.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Pete is our treasure. His life was a blessing to all, and now a treasure to keep forever. He is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
On Friday, March 13, 2026 a visitation will take place from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, followed by interment at 1:30 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
