Patricia “Pat” Anne Burke

Patricia (Pat) Anne Burke, 79 years old, passed away peacefully at Zilber Family Hospice on June 15, 2023.  Patricia was born on February 27, 1944 to Elmer Egan Burke and Anne Lorraine Burke (nee Turner) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Pat was a Registered Nurse and served in the United States Army Nurse Corps during Vietnam.  She was stationed in the United States as well as Belgium.  After leaving the Nurse Corps she worked for 37 years at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Pat lived a very simple life.  She enjoyed gardening, reading and cross word puzzles.  She had a great sense of humor and personality.  She was passionate about helping others who were less fortunate and supported many local charities including Wisconsin Humane Society, Salvation Army, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Catholic Charities and Fischer House Milwaukee.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents Elmer in 1950 and Anne in 1984 and her brother James in 1964.  Pat was the last surviving person of her family and will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery with her mother.
