Ollie graduated from Port Washington High School in 1941 as a 12-letter athlete and a member of the second class of Badger State Boys. He went on to the University of Wisconsin, but interrupted his schooling when he enlisted and ultimately served at the rank of 2nd lieutenant and pilot in the U.S. Air Corps. He returned to UW and graduated in 1947. He married in 1950 and enjoyed a 50-year business career in Milwaukee as founder and CEO of Contractors Specialties Inc. He was a charter member of Milwauke NARI and a loyal member of the American Legion of Veterans, most recently a member of the 449th Post. Ollie was deeply honored to participate in a Stars and Stripes Honor Flight in 2012. Ollie will be remembered by those who knew him best for the joy he found in life, his love of the outdoors, his faith in God and country, and his devotion to family. He was the best combination of wise and witty, known for kindness and warmth, and committed always to mentoring others to do their very best in all things. Go with God, Dad, and bring to heaven the same smiles you always inspired in us.
