"The best unkown baritone sax player" Passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 12, 2011. At the age of 82. Beloved husband of Lois (nee Tradel) married 58 years. Dear father of Tom (Carol) Gabler and Suzanne Davidson-Gabler. Grandfather to Craig Gabler, DeAndre Davidson and Jami Davidson. Loving brother-in-law of Laverne (the late Harold) Blumberg and Laurie (the late Fred) Zimmermann. Dear friend of Betty Kragenbrink. Further survived by many other relatives and friends.Norman was a long-time resident of Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Attending Galilee Lutheran Church. He worked for the Milwaukee Transport Company for many years. Upon retirement Norman spent his time enjoying his two loves, gardening and music! He would spend hours tending his extensive flower gardens. Norman was a life-long musician. As a member of the Hartland Community Band, he looked forward to being involved in the parades and especially playing in the Christmas concerts held at Holy Hill. Norman loved the History Channel and could talk for hours about WWII and American History.Visitation at the Funeral Home, Saturday, April 16, 12:00-1:00 PM. Service 1:00 PM. Private burial Pinelawn.
