My thoughts are with you Nadine, and your family in this difficult time. We first met 32 years ago, and we're still in touch despite the distance. It goes a long way to show how Neil and you have always been so thoughtful, friendly and welcoming. I always remember fondly our discussions about Europe and Switzerland in particular, and your visit here. Rest in peace, Neil.

It was 31 years ago when I met Neil for the first time. Nadine and Neil were my hosts on my first exchange with Eisenhower High School. I really enjoyed staying with them. Neil and I often talked about Germany and I soon found out about his big interest in ancestry. We really got on well and I was very happy when he and his family visited us in Germany a few years later. I will always remember him fondly. RIP. Neil Harald

When I first joined Siemens in 2002, Neil would take naps on the windowsill in the sun during his lunch time. Always had a brown bag lunch. He didn't spend too many $$'s on clothing & had duct tape wrapped around his work boots to get more use out of them. I would frequently confide in Neil for the German to US translations. After retirement (which in my understanding he would have liked to continue working as he enjoyed it), Neil found time to stop by & visit us at the office on numerous occasions over the years. It was such a pleasure! He always brightened our day. I truly treasured those visits.

I worked for over 35 years with Neil. I was an AllisChalmers and Siemens field engineer and he was in engineering in Milwaukee. One of the finest men i was ever associated with and always enjoyed any conversation i had with him. God Bless him and his family. Chuck Oellerich
