(Nee Palfuss) Of Okauchee, died peacefully at home on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the age of 54 after a brave battle with melanoma. Nancy was the beloved wife and best friend of J. Timothy Lovett and Molly the cat. She is survived by her father, William (Joan) Palfuss; two children, Al and Jenny (Hannah); her sister, Christine (Greg) Howard; and nephews, Bill (Ann) Howard and Jon (Kim) Howard; and members of Tim's family, Joe (Betty) Lovett, Diane (Lee) Jones, Gerry (Connie) Lovett, and Martha (Eric) Sullivan and all of their children.Nancy was born on January 13, 1959, and raised in Brookfield, Wisconsin. She attended Brookfield East High School where she made friendships that endured throughout her life. Nancy attended UW-Stevens Point for a number of years before beginning work at Kromer Cap Company in Milwaukee. Her true passion was helping others and towards that end she obtained certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and proceeded to help people as an employee at Aurora Medical. She was also a volunteer with the Sussex Fire Department. She adored long distance bicycling finding a peace, freedom and solitude that the outdoors provided. There was not a climb that she could not get over, which was symbolic of her life. She accomplished her first century ride in Door County in 2007 and was an ardent supporter and fundraiser for the MACC Fund/Trek Ride for Childhood Cancer. She looked forward to being a part of Irish Fest every year where she managed one of the beer tents and the numerous volunteers that helped in that operation. Her other loves were working in the garden, cooking, Door County, a glass of red wine and being with good friends and family. She touched many persons and many lives and will be missed but never forgotten.A celebration in honor of Nancy's life and memory will be held at the Fox River Congregational Church, N34W23575 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, on Saturday, February 23, 2013, and presided over by Rev. Lonnie Richardson. Visitation will begin at Noon with the celebration service starting at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
