Passed away peacefully, Friday, November 3, 2017. Age 67. Loving mother of John and Steven. Proud Oma of Magnus, Josie and Gunnar. Also loved by other relatives and friends. My internship was at MDT/PACE in the early 80s where I met Monika. We became fast friends. We took vacations together and laughed ourselves stupid on more than one occasion . South Dakota when Monika walked up a hill to find a moose she thought she heard but instead came very close to a buffalo. Vermont when we realized just how close the tree fell to our tent. New Foundland when at the B&B the host told us of how her son lost his arm in a snowmobile accident with a moose and later in what we thought was a separate story discovering the son's girlfriend died in a snowmobile accident with a moose. Nope same accident. These things don't seem funny to you, I know. But if you really know Monika and if you were to know me then you'd know how together we could make the oddest things ridiculously funny. I will miss you my dear friend and your laughter . This is not goodbye.
