Minnie Rogers was born on January 14, 1930, to the union of Ezekiel and Hettie Dotson in Newellton, Louisiana.
She received her formal education from Merrill High School and was a member of Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Minnie united in holy matrimony to Oscar Rogers, Sr. and their union was blessed with four children. They moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the 1950s, where she became a member of St. Matthew C.M.E Church.
Minnie was employed at Daycare Services for Children and the Milwaukee Public Schools Recreation Department until she retired. Minnie was an excellent cook and she loved to play bingo.
Minnie Rogers departed this life on March 17, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Rogers, Sr.; one son, Ronnie Rogers; two sisters, Annie Helen Crain and Everlena Gray; two brothers, Ezekiel Dotson, Jr. and Julius Dotson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter Brenda (Earl) Cannon; two sons, Oscar Rogers, Jr. and Larry (Marilyn) Rogers; two sisters, Maxcine Malone of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Dorothy (Roland) McFadden of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and host of other loving relatives and friends.
