Mildred “Dolly” Mae Klug Moore, age 95, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Saint John’s On The Lake in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dolly was born June 11, 1930, in Caledonia, Minnesota, the daughter of Lawrence William and Mildred Mae (Witt) Klug. Dolly graduated from Loretto Catholic High School in Caledonia. After graduation, she worked for the Minnesota Agricultural Farm Service Agency as a secretary and then she married the love of her life, Arnold John Moore on September 29, 1951 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Caledonia, Minnesota.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; daughters, Sheri Ann Perry Payne; Karen Sue Lilly; son-in-laws, Jonathan Perry; Jacob Weber; Jeffery Bolle; brother, Terrance Klug; sister, Barbara Jean Anderson.
Dolly is survived by her children; Michele Weber; Jane Moore (Jack Hoffman); Connie Bolle; and John Moore (Kelly); son-in-laws, Mark Lilly; Ronald Payne; grandchildren, Aaron Weber (Jacqualine); Eric Weber (Angelita); Gregory Weber; Dominic Weber; Christa Warlop (Daniel); Sean Moore; Brigid Moore; great grandchildren, Case and Ryker Weber; Wren Warlop; step grandchild, Angelica Protestades Ortega; brothers, Lawrence Klug; Thomas Klug; Timothy Klug; David Klug; sister, Mary Ann Cashin.
Dolly was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Starkville, Mississippi. She was devoted to her family, and enjoyed cooking and baking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, crafts, cultivating plants and flowers, ceramics and pottery, her beloved dogs, playing cards, bowling, walking, and traveling the world. One of her great passions was being a Mississippi State University Sports Fan, especially as a baseball, football and basketball season ticket holder.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 154 3rd Street NE, New Albin, Iowa from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, New Albin, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Oktibbeha County Humane Society.
