Also survived by other relatives and friends, both here and in Germany. Visitation on Saturday, March 12, will be in the Church, ST. MARGARET MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH (3930 N. 92nd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53222), from 9:00 to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Interment with committal prayers to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Maxine was born in Milwaukee on July 23, 1926, a daughter of German immigrants Frank and Theresa Thurner. She attended local schools, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Maxine was primarily employed for Harnischfeger Corporation as an executive secretary. Following her retirement, she stayed active in their alumni group. She also worked as a real estate agent part time for Ogden and Company, and had also recently been recognized for over 30 years of service in the industry. A longtime communicant of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Maxine served in many capacities and was very active in church ministries. She was a world traveler, and was privileged to visit many areas of the globe. She enjoyed square dancing and had recently taken an interest in line dancing. As a young adult she was active in the Damenkor Bavaria (German Ladies Choir) and in earlier years, she was also involved with the "Toastmasters". Maxine was devoted to her family and they were certainly her greatest joy.
