Found peace on Friday, December 6, 2024, after a hard fought and very courageous battle against breast cancer.

Beloved daughter of Sue Szablewski (Larry Breuer). Loving and proud mother of Chad Holguin. Devoted sister of Sue Matzelle (Jerry), Kathy Markley, Paul Szablewski (Diane), Holly Szablewski and Wendy Helland. Mary Kay was a proud aunt to her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mary Kay was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert (Gil), her grandparents and her niece.

Mary Kay is also survived by her ex-husband, Samuel Holguin. She is survived by close and loving friends: Ed Helland, Barb Kennedy and family, Kathy Axelson, Erin Tomes and Susy Urbina. She will also be missed by her precious fur babies.

Mary Kay had a huge and incredibly generous heart. She was always ready to lend a hand or an act of kindness to bring joy and happiness to others. She was an incredibly selfless person. Mary Kay was truly a shining light in this world and will be missed dearly.

Visitation to be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Celebration of Life begins at 7:00 PM.

Mary Kay was truly one-of-a-kind. If you met her just once, you would never forget meeting her. Her personality was as big as her heart. I will never forget how she bought me a winter coat when I was in need. She left it in my car and when I called to thank her, she cried. The years I worked with her at Towne Ford are forever encased in my heart & soul. Rest in Peace, sweet MK. I will never forget you.
