Age 87. Born June 1, 1927 – Died October 1, 2014, from heart disease. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Holmes Schutz, son, David John Schutz, and son-in-law, Peter M. Hoff.
Survived by wonderful daughters, Kathryn Hoff and Patricia Rollinger and fine son-in-law, Joseph Rollinger. Further survived by priceless grandchildren, Kelly and Jennifer Hoff and Eric and Kevin Rollinger.
Liz taught English for two years at Seymour High School and for twenty-five years at Brookfield East High School. The Brookfield East Key Club chose her as the very first Teacher of the Day, and in 1985 the Elmbrook School District named her Outstanding Secondary Teacher of the Year. She retired in 1988.
Liz moved to Freedom Village in 1992 where she served as President of the Resident Council for four years. Always an avid reader, she was in charge of the library there for 21 years and conducted a book discussion group for 18 years. In her retirement, Liz also enjoyed being a reading tutor for 18 years, traveling, and playing cards. Last year Liz moved to Alexian Village, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
There will be a memorial visitation with the family on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 1:00-2:30 PM in the Fireplace Room (West Building) at Alexian Village. Enter through the main entrance located at 9301 North 76th Street. As per her request, no service will be held.
