Mary A. Wenzel (nee Westerman) passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, age 88.

Mary was born September 7, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late William and Dorothy Westerman. She and the late Frederick Wenzel were married for 34 years prior to his passing and were blessed by their two sons Frederick II and David.

Mary is survived by sons Fred (Josephine), David (Julie), as well as her three grandchildren, Carleigh (Logan), Hannah, and Ethan Wenzel. Cherished friend of Jim Steck. She was also loved and will be missed by additional family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents William and Dorothy Westerman, siblings Janice (Peter) Tocco and Bill (Lauire) Westerman.

Mary was blessed to make friends easily and was known for her generous heart, great smile, and the kindness she gave everyone she met. She retired from Elmbrook School District, where she enjoyed working with first grade students. She loved spending time with family, friends, and beloved family pets. She was a friend to many and will be dearly missed.

The family would like to thank the care team at Elaine’s Hope and Lutheran Home for their support of Mary and their family.

Visitation to be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 12:00 PM – 2:45 PM at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Service to follow at 3:00 PM. Private Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
