Found eternal peace Sunday, July 27, 2014. Marty's passionate and loving spirit is carried on by his wife Carol and children Shane, Katie and Bryan. Never settling for anything but the best, always hatching a plan, he left us with a wealth of inside jokes, timeless life lessons and several sets of handmade golf clubs. He demonstrated that hard work accepts no substitutes, but gave equally important last words of advice: "be happy."
In 1993, Marty and his lifetime friend, Barry Scott, co-founded Prime Label and Screen printing company. Through ambitious and ethical leadership, they painstakingly nurtured the business' success until retiring in September 2013.
Marty's father Ed, siblings Eddie, Peg, Carol, Pat and Tim, and innumerable friends and extended family will remember his penchant for both problem solving and mischief making. He looked out for others and lived with a sense of purpose, always seeking to improve his corner of the world. He avoided sugary foods but enjoyed the sweet past-times of boating, golfing and laughing along to Chevy Chase comedies with his family.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a brief prayer service at 8:00 PM, at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, in Brookfield. Catholic Mass on Friday, August 1, at 11:00 AM at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in North Lake (W314 N7462 State Road 83) with additional visitation from 9:30 AM until time of Mass.
