Maggie Mae Booker was born august 13th, 1929 to Ennis M. and Ida C. Mc Junkins in Oxford, Mississippi. At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Bethlehem C.M.E Church in Etta, Mississippi. She received her High School and College education from Mississippi Industrial College High School where she taught school for six years.
On December 31,1950 Maggie was united in Holy matrimony with Posie Booker Jr. in Oxford, Mississippi. In 1952, they relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and established permanent residency.
Maggie joined St. Matthew C.M.E Church in 1953 where she served as a member of the Usher Board for 65 years. She remained a loyal and faithful member until her death in august, 2021.
Maggie was employed with Milwaukee County Hospital in the Emergency Department for 37yrs. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, attending Church and spending with her family and friends.
Maggie silently departed this life on August 24, 2021. She is survived by her son Renee Booker, granddaughter Charlotte Booker, Sister-in-law Annie Katheryn Cox of Water Valley, MS, Sister-in-Law Laura Jean Hall of Memphis, TN, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
