Mae Joann Zimmermann

(Née Henschel) Of Milwaukee was called home to be with Jesus on May 5, 2014, at the age of 83 years. Mae was born in Egg Harbor on May 20, 1930, and is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph; sister, Marilyn; and her parents. Loving mother of Steven (Wendy) and Paul (Dorothy), cherished twin sister of Mabel (Gilbert) Shoemaker, sweet grandma to Kristie (Brian) Cooper and Kyle Zimmermann, Matthew Brendemeuhl and family, and GG to Evelynne Mae and Liam Arthur Cooper. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

Mae loved her Lord and, for many years before her declining health, was active in her church and sang in the choir. She was a huge Brewers' fan and always enjoyed a good game of Sheepshead. The family especially wishes to thank Carolyn Chinavare of ResCare HomeCare for the kind and exceptional care given these past years.

Visitation will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 8444 West Melvina Street, Milwaukee, on Monday, May 12, 2014, from 1:00-3:00 PM with a Christian victory service to follow. There will be a private burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

Memorials in Mae's name may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
