Visitation at CALVARY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1750 North Calhoun Road, Brookfield, WI on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 9:00-11:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM. Burial and military honors at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Lou was a Korean War veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, including 6 years on active duty and 26 years in the reserves. Lou attained the rank of colonel and served as Deputy Assistant Division Commander of the 84th Division, before retiring in 1981. He was a graduate of Marquette University with a Bachelor or Arts degree.
In his civilian life, Lou enjoyed a long career as an advertising executive. In 1970, along with his partners, he founded the advertising agency Fuller, Biety, Connell which later became Fuller Thiede, before Lou's retirement in 1993. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
