Nee Ojanen) Lila, age 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 29, 2010. She was born on August 1, 1922 — one of 11 children on a Finnish dairy farm in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Lila enjoyed baking, walking and serving others. She loved her job waitressing in the executive dining room of a local insurance company. Lila is survived by her brother, Calvin, a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Marguerite for being a caring neighbor. We thank the staff of Homestead Ridge and Aseracare Hospice for making Lila comfortable during her last two years. A grave-side ceremony is planned in the near future. Lila will be laid to rest in her families' plot in Forest Hill Cemetery, Houghton, MI.
