Leverne E. Erickson

Born to Eternal Life October 19, 2010, age 90 years. Loving husband of Harriet for 63 years. Dearest dad of Sandra (Daniel) Beightol and Cynthia Erickson. Greatest grandpa of Thomas (Bethany) Beightol and Joseph (Michelle) Beightol. Sweetest great-grandpa of Emma, Caleb, Sophie and Lola. Also survived by two sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Selma Erickson and sister, Bernice (Hilary) Zutz. Leverne loved his career as a Greyhound bus driver, retiring in 1982, after 33 years of service and with fond memories of his more famous passengers, such as Vince Lombardi and the Green Bay Packers, and the Milwaukee Braves to name a few. His biggest thrill came when Johnny Cash (his favorite singer) visited with him on the bus. Vern leaves behind many friends in the Greyhound Retreads retirement group. Visitation at OUR SAVIORS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3022 West Wisconsin Avenue, on Friday, October 22, 9:30 – 11:00 AM. Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Private burial Wisconsin Memorial Park.
