Passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the age of 78. He currently resided in New Berlin, Wisconsin.Leo is survived by his beloved wife, Marie, two stepsons, Joe Krzewinski of Chicago, Jim Krzewinski of Milwaukee, and stepdaughter, Beth Moritz of Moorpark, CA. Leo is further survived by step-grandchildren: Jack, Ashley and Brooke, and 30 nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings: Emil, Adelaide (Sr. Adele), Wilmer, Simon, Olive, and Leonard.Leo was born to Leo A. and Margaret (nee Schaefer) Pronschinske on November 6, 1933 in western Wisconsin, near Waumandee in Buffalo County. He received his Bachelor's Degree at Winona State, MN, and his Master's Degree at Aurora, IL. He also did graduate work at the University of Colorado and the University of Wisconsin. Leo was an instructor of science at East Troy schools for 34 years from 1959 to 1993. He is a member of St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Church in Elm Grove, WI.A passionate deer hunter, he led many successful group hunts with friends back to his family farm in Buffalo County until his 70's. After retirement, he briefly taught courses for Aurora University and worked with special needs students at East Troy. Genealogy became his hobby and passion, and with the help of cousins, completed a family tree and organized a family reunion every five years. He compiled a book which contained the stories of the ten families of the Albert and Marion (nee Schank) Pronschinske offspring. Leo also wrote a book on the history of the Pronschinske origins in Europe. Leo escorted three group trips to search ancestral villages in Europe, one in 2004 which included 16 relatives and encompassed seven countries in Europe.Visitation will be at St. Mary's Visitation Parish, 1260 Church Street, Elm Grove, WI, on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Milwaukee.
