Lawrence “Larry” Van Dam

Entered God’s loving arms on April 29, 2019, at the age of 91, joining his loving wife, Janette (née Raasch) of 64 yrs; his dear son, David (the late Kay Liederman Van Dam); his brother, Jack; and loving parents, Lawrence and Dorothy.

Dear Father of Karen (Erle) and Dale (Michelle). Proud Grandfather of Matt (Kristy), Tim (Rachel), Mike (Andrea), Brad (Andrea), Emma, Kelsey, Nicholas (Gillinder), and Matthew (Alison). Adoring Great Papa of Tyler, Allison, Max, Sophie, Sadie, Charlotte, Harper, Finley, and Thomas. Further survived by his brothers Bill and Ken, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Larry enjoyed a fulfilling career in the Insurance and Financial Services fields, working for Lutheran Mutual & CNA, helping families and businesses with their insurance needs, retirement planning, and charitable gifting.

Larry and his wife, Janette, were members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Allis, Brookfield Lutheran, and Trinity Lutheran Church in Fountain Hills, AZ when they wintered in Arizona in retirement.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI, on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM. Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zilber Family Hospice, The Lutheran Home Foundation for the new Memory Care Project, or The Lutheran High School Association of Greater Milwaukee would be appreciated.
