Kyle F. Ballering – Departed this life unexpectedly on Friday, February 17, 2023, age 34.
Beloved son of Jeff and Pat Ballering. Cherished brother of Leanne Ballering (fiancé Brandon Hahn) and best friend, Kobe, Kyle’s Huskie. Grandson of James and Carol Weyek. Nephew of Jackie Ballering, Judy Ballering, Dave Weyek, Joanne (Mike) Halvorson, Sandie (Jim) Wehrenberg and Ken (Marie) Weyek. Cousin of Jessica (Michael) Jones, Scott (Megan) Halvorson, Emilie (Steven) Piper, Jasmine Weyek (fiancé Zach), Grayson Weyek, Allie Gardner, Erika Gardner and Amber Perez. Also loved by many friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents Jerry and Elaine Ballering and cousin Cassidy Weyek.
Kyle had a wide variety of interests from sports to nature to just learning all he could. He was very intelligent and the world was something he found fascinating. He would delve into why and how things worked. From little on he wanted to understand everything, not just be told an answer. Always inquisitive. He obtained two Bachelors degree in Political Science and Sociology. He most recently became a Certified Nutritionist. Fitness, nutrition and going to the gym were a priority for him. While working in the commercial insurance industry challenged him and was his career, his goal was to work for himself-always thinking and making notes of new ideas.
Kyle played and enjoyed baseball, football, golf, bass fishing and had a love for basketball especially. March Madness will never be the same without him. He enjoyed dressing in style and had quite a collection of athletic shoes for his casual look. He used to research what shoes were coming out next so he could be prepared.
Kyle was known not only for his kindness but for grasping what he could from life. He always said there is so much out there to experience and didn’t understand how people could be content with the sameness of life. He was very determined to do what he set out to do…skydiving even though not a fan of heights, moving to California, changing to better job positions, changing schools, owning a dog (Kobe) and being a homeowner. He wasn’t deterred from making the changes he felt he needed in his life.
Kyle always made friends wherever he went and had an infectious smile. He was loved by all. He was admired at work by his peers and employers for his work ethic and knowledge and was inspired by challenges.
Kyle was a private, compassionate and kind human being who will forever be loved and always missed. He constantly taught us different ways to look at life. His family, those that knew him and the world are a better place because of him.
Memorials to the family appreciated to be used for Kobe’s care and family-chosen charities.
Services will be held privately.
