Krishnachandra "Kishan" "Kris" Bagadia passed away, peacefully and surrounded by family, at home on June 12, 2016, at the age of 65.
Kishan was an amazing man. From an early age, he was a scholar, sportsman, and life-of-the-party. He was wired for achievement, and this pursuit took him from Mumbai to the United States to complete his Masters Degree in engineering in the mid-70s.
He originally intended to finish his graduate work in Milwaukee (Marquette University) and then head back to India. 40+ years later, he was still in Milwaukee, and made a wonderful life for his family there. He ran a successful small business for decades, had three boys, and was never afraid to embrace a full life.
The one constant for Kishan no matter where he went was the relationships he built and the lives he touched. He was an active member in the community, always volunteering and giving back to charity. Of course, it wasn't only about formal opportunities for giving back. Kishan was always willing to help, no matter what. And he always did so with a beautiful smile and twinkle in his eyes.
Above all, Kishan was an amazing dad and devoted husband. He was a gift. In addition, he was adored by 2 grandchildren, his large extended family, and many wonderful friends. This is perhaps best illustrated with the following comments, which have been said about Kishan repeatedly: "He was the best person I've ever known," "He was my best friend," and "He was like my own brother."
Sadly, Kishan was taken from us far too soon by glioblastoma–we'll miss him. But while his passing is a great loss, his memory and impact will live on eternally.
He is survived by his wife, Uma; sons, Nikhil (Lisa), Nishant (Jayshree), and Avinash; grandchildren, Avner and Isla; and many others that love him. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Shyamlal and Savitri Agrawal.
Please join us in a celebration of Kishan's life per the information below.
