Kenneth A. Mitchell passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at the age of 67, leaving behind a life rich with love and laughter.
Ken is survived by Brenda Mitchell, his wife of 43 years and the love of his life. Their marriage is proof that high school sweethearts can build a lifetime together. He leaves behind his children: Amanda (Jason) Anderson, Megan (Christian) Uribe, and Ashley Mitchell. He was a devoted Hapa to his cherished grandchildren Sophia, Leo, and Evelynn. Ken is further survived by his father, John Mitchell; his sister, Mary Mitchell; and many loving friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol, and his brother, Dennis and his brother-in-law, Mitchell Kohls.
Ken was every dog’s favorite lap to curl up on and a source of joy to all who knew him. Of all the titles he carried throughout his life, the ones he cherished most were husband, father, and grandfather, known lovingly as “Hapa”.
Ken was a lifelong hunter, especially fond of pheasant and deer hunting, and he took great pride in training his beloved dogs to work alongside him in the fields. While he could never convince his daughters to join him, the dogs were always ready. He also had a deep love for his speed boat, and anyone who knew him understood “The Bob” was here to stay.
Gathering will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM. Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Angel’s Grace Hospice. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the compassion and care provided by Angel’s Grace Hospice and Ken’s long-time physical therapist and friend, Tom Valentine.
Ken will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
