Kathleen “Kathy” Jean Link, 72 years of age, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, peacefully in her Franklin, Wisconsin home.

 

Kathy was born on January 13, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Clarence A. “Tom” Larsen, and Mary A. “Mamie” Nuesslein. Kathy was the oldest of four children and sister to Jerry (Cindy) Larsen, James “Jimmy” (Lori) Larsen, and Todd (Kim) Larsen, and also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Kathy was loved and cherished by her three daughters, “her girls,” Tracy (Tony) Sherman, Jamie (Joe) Luther and Jodi Link. Kathy always put them first and sacrificed so much to put them through private schools.

 

Kathy’s pride and joy were her four grandchildren. Chloe (21) will graduate North Central University in 2022 with a teaching degree. Kailey (19) is pursuing her dreams of being a Cosmetologist. Ashlynn (17) is a junior in High School and are all daughters of Tracy Sherman. Her grandson Andrew (20) goes to West Point, and will graduate as an Army Officer in 2025. He is the son of Jamie Luther. Kathy loved cooking and baking with them and creating special memories with each grandchild.

 

Kathy retired as a Registered Nurse after nearly 40 years and her passion was to travel, with Michigan as her favorite destination. She loved God, reading her bible, and praying for others. She was known for her laughter and wearing a smile to bring joy to the lives of others. She was a loving and caring person, devoted mother, and friend to many. She always thought of others first, “to know her was to love her”. She was known for making people feel very special and blessing them by making them their favorite foods through her post retiring hobby, “Kathy’s Kitchen.” She loved seeing people happy and delivering meals for people in need.

 

Kathy’s legacy will live forever through her children, grandchildren, those who knew her and through those blessed by her.

 

A gathering will be held on Sunday, December 19th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
