Kathleen Susan Marks

On Thursday, May 16, 2019, Kathleen Susan Marks, wife of James Marks and mother of Bethany Giordano and Sara Heiderscheidt, passed away at the age of 72. Kathy was born October 26, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Kenneth and Hildegard (Pethke) DeLonge.

She worked for the United States Forest Service living in Milwaukee, Chicago and Arkansas and after getting married became a loving and devoted stay-at-home Mom to her daughters. Kathy volunteered tirelessly at her children’s schools and church. She also taught English to refugees. She married James David Marks on December 30, 1978. Together they raised two daughters.

Kathy had a passion for travel. Most recently she enjoyed trips to Germany to visit relatives, a trip to Ireland with her daughters and best friend and a 40th Anniversary family trip to Disney in January. She also enjoyed bowling. Kathy loved to play cards and played Sheepshead and Bridge a number of times each week with her wide circle of friends. She was known for her infectious laugh, optimism, kind and compassionate spirit and strength. Also, she was an amazing friend.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, her mother and her brother, Bob. She is survived by her husband Jim, her two children, Bethany (Anthony) Giordano and Sara (John) Heiderscheidt, her grand kids Otto Giordano and Warren Heiderscheidt, her brother Mike (Sue) DeLonge, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Krause Funeral Home on 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin 53151 followed by a service at 11:00 AM with a luncheon afterwards.
