Karl Palme

April 7, 1925 - September 27, 2018

Karl Palme, age 93, of Greendale, WI, passed peacefully on Thursday, September 27th, 2018.  Karl was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Franz (1944), and his wife of 58 years, Annie (Mittlestadt), in 2012.  Karl and Annie are survived by their two children, Ken of Milwaukee, WI, and Diane (Chris Ice), of Woodside, CA., and by other family and friends.  We are grateful to the staff at Creekside Terrace for their kindness and compassionate care.

After WWII, Karl and Annie emigrated to Milwaukee, via Toronto, CA, to start a new life.  They quickly found friends within the German community, and Karl worked for many years at Dings Co., Getty’s, and Creative Engineering Associates, as a designer of brakes, assembly and test equipment and various machines and mechanisms.  He was an avid woodworker and interested in the creative arts, including painting and ceramics.

A private interment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association and the German War Graves Commission are appreciated.
