June Marie Benishek passed away on August 16, 2023 at age 93.

She was born in Dodge County and moved to Hustisford, where she graduated from high school in 1948. June then moved to Milwaukee and went on to attend business college for two years. She worked part time at Gimbels for 35 years until they closed in 1996. June married Milton in May of 1955, and they had three boys, Jeffrey, Peter and David. Because she was working, they did a lot of traveling.

June was a member of the WI American Legion Auxiliary for 57 years; State President in 1972-1973 and was State Secretary-Treasurer from 1987 to 2000 (Federal Unit 203 was her home). She retired in January 2000. June was active in Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and Finance Secretary for 11 years. During the past 15 years she found time to be a caregiver for two friends for two years each.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM, until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
