Sunday, June 16, 2013. Age 94. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold, her parents Alfred and Cora Pomrening, sister Janis (Carlton) Fuerst, brother Jack Pomrening, and many, many other wonderful friends. Surviving her is her sister-in-law Ruth Pomrening, her 2 nieces Marta (Brian) Jindra and Cora Ann Schmidt and also 6 great-nieces and nephews, Ben (Alex), Jack and Ava Jindra, and Dolan, Dennis and Cali Schmidt. Plus, a special friend to Harold, and myself, and plus the entire Pomrening Family for over 40+ years is Mary Rehwaldt. June was very fortunate to have a special person Sophie Caban to stay with her these last 8 months 24/7, she was extremely dedicated to June's wishes and needs.

Visitation at the Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Sunday, June 23, 4:00-5:45 PM. Funeral service 6:00 PM. Burial Monday 10:30 AM at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery (MEET AT CEMETERY 10:15 AM).

June was resident of West Allis for 91 years and she was a public school teacher for 40+ years, starting in Zenda, Wisconsin, moved on to New Berlin, then Milwaukee for a number of years, and continued her teaching and retired from the West Allis/West Milwaukee School District. She was an honorary life member of both the Aurora West Allis Medical Center and the Electra Eastern Star, and an active member of the Zeta Chapter of Phrateres from Carroll University. Memorials are appreciated to the Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute for research.
