Zywicki, Judith Ann “Judy” (Nee Garland) met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at age 84 after a year-long battle with cancer. Loving wife to Bob for 65 wonderful years. Beloved mother to Debbie, Susie (Charlie), and Luann (Mike). Proud grandmother to Jenna (Michael), Erika (Justin), Kaylin, Rich (Ashley), Nick (Jessica), and Tim. Great-grandmother to Riley, Jaxon, Hunter, Hadley, and Brewer. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She was proceeded in death by parents Thomas and Una, brothers Richard (Bette) and Dr. Thomas (Connie), and sister Patricia, and by brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Jean Zywicki.
Life began for Judy on September 5th, 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was here that she met her beloved husband Bob at age 15 and began their nearly 70 amazing years together. After graduating from Washington High School, she enjoyed the work she did with the Wisconsin Telephone Company as a switchboard operator and secretary in the office of Dr. Galang as well as within the practice of her brother, Dr. Thomas Garland. Her true passion in life was her family and friends. Judy loved to celebrate life and those she shared it with. Those that knew her only need to hear words like “Trout Lake,” “Hustis Street,” and “4th of July,” to recall family get-togethers, pool parties, sunburns Up North, and holiday celebrations which often led to the banging of pots and pans for makeshift parades down Hustis Street. After raising their children in Milwaukee, Bob and Judy “settled down” in their cherished Pewaukee home, the second home they built together. Many joyous memories continued there, especially with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
You will always be loved and remembered with gratitude for the life you lived and the faith you helped nurture in your daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Now you are home with Jesus.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Judy’s memory to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa, where Judy was able to worship and watch her grandchildren learn, play, and grow in their faith.
