Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 24, 2018, at age 100. Husband of the late Theresa (nee Befi) for 62 years. Devoted father of Joseph Jr. (Marilee), Richard (Beatrice), Steven (Laura), the late Frank (Marilyn), Gerald (Bridget), and Marilyn. Also loved by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Joe retired as a Supervising Engineer from Wisconsin Telephone Company after 38 years.

A special thanks to Marilee Fuss, and the staff at the Community Memorial Horizon Hospice for all the loving care they provided Joe.

Visitation at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12700 West Howard Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Messmer Catholic Schools.
