My husband and I just heard this terrible news about John. We both worked with him at UPS back in the day. We are so sorry for his family. He was the nicest guy - always, always smiling and happy. Just a really stand up person. I remember he always talked so nicely about his wife. It stood out to me as he was so young at that time but seemed very responsible in life. Our deepest condolences.

John was my favorite delivery person! I'm so saddened to hear of his passing. He was always polite and smiling. We both had a love of craft beer and discussed our recent tastings once in a while. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

John made many deliveries to Winding Roofing over the past few years. The first thing coming thru our door was his smile. You could tell he liked his job. He was truly kind and always a gentleman. We will miss him!

Our three year old would run home from school chasing the truck to our house. "Our truck is coming!" Always had a wave for a three year old enchanted by him. Such very sad news.

I am so saddened by the unexpected passing of John. He was our UPS driver in the village of Tosa for many years. He was truly a great guy and we just loved him.....his sense of humor, his awesome smile, his kindness, his fun stories of family life and of course, his dogs. He was always happy and really brightened our day. My deepest sympathy to Amee and family. May you find comfort in all your memories and may God bless you during this difficult time......
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I have known John for probably a decade through the UPS Store in Tosa. At the end of each work day, when John came to pick up, we'd share stories about our dogs, family, and life. We'd laugh constantly while helping John load packages into his truck or just sitting around the store. He talked about you, Amee, as well as your dogs, Sadie and Allie, everyday. He was always so happy. Always smiling. Always laughing. John got me out of so many grouchy moods and he was such a great friend. I'll miss seeing him driving around town and blasting our horns as we pass each other. Luke and I will miss hearing him honk for our dog when he passed by our house. I'll miss hearing about all the crazy food you two would make on the weekends. Work won't ever be the same without him. I hope hearing all of these different stories about how amazing your husband was helps you in any way they can, even if just a tiny bit.

What a tragedy. We have known John for many years. He not only delivered to the Tosa Village store where I work but also to our house. Bear would hear the truck before we did and start to drool, knowing a "cookie" was coming his way. Our dog walking would take us all over John's Wauwatosa route. It was not unusual to see him three or more times in one outing. Bear would always head in the direction of the truck. He could distinguish it from all others. We will all miss him greatly.

It is so difficult to express in words the sorrow we are experiencing on the loss of our friend .. John. Our deepest sympathy go out to Amee and all the Ramos family. John was the UPS driver assigned to our store..Over many years we got to know John very well...he was special.....his humor, his smile, his laugh, his stories. He was so well liked by all the staff. He seemed to enjoy every aspect of life....wife ,family and the pets. He never passed up an opportunity to get a friendly jab in on someone from the staff. He was a big part of our store and it was always a pleasure dealing with him. John will be greatly missed....and he will always be remembered as our friend. We pray the family finds the strength to endure this sad loss. The staff from the UPS Store Wauwatosa

Dear Amee and The Ramos Family: John was part of our ‘Work Family’ at the Chase Bank in downtown Tosa since 2009. John was never too busy to help out, offer a kind word or share a good story. He was one of us and he spoke of you often. One day he pointed out (after dropping a ups delivery at the house) that we were almost neighbors. When I shared that I was moving he offered to help me move my house. He was more than ‘The UPS Guy’ he was a friend. There are no words to convey the sorrow in hearing of his passing. We share in your grief and hope that the pain you are feeling will ease in time. He will be missed.

I work at the UPS Store Wauwatosa and John was our driver for as many years as I can remember. Every day when he would pick us up he would take a break and sit in the same chair eating an apple or a banana. This was one of our favorite parts of the day because we got to sit around and chat with John. He always had a funny story to share about his dogs, delivering or family and he also had the best craft beer recommendations. Sometimes John would have our house on his delivery route and he would honk as he drove by because he knew it would rile up our dog and we could joke about it later. John was one of the best people I’ve ever met. He is deeply missed and my condolences go out to Amee and all of his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting John through his brother Tony. I feel pretty lucky to have had a chance to know him, play golf with, drink beers with, laugh with and even put his furnace in. He was definitely the guy that everyone could just have a good laugh or easy talk with. Just an all around good guy. My heart is heavy and goes out to Amee and all his siblings. John will be missed more than any words can say. God does things we don't always agree with or understand, but we need to trust him.

I am the Administrative Assistant at Wauwatosa Catholic School. When a different UPS man came in on Monday and I asked him if John was off he informed me of the tragedy. I have been in tears since. I still think he is going to walk in the door and that it was a mistake. There will never be another person like him. Our volunteers at the parish office couldn't wait for warm weather when John showed off his legs with UPS shorts. John, thank you for the perfect customer service and your warm personality. You will be missed by everyone. See you in Heaven my friend.

When we heard about John's passing we were stunned. John and Mike did the Tosa Village UPS route together for years. We would stalk him on his route in the evenings by us to give him a hard time when we were headed to dinner in Tosa and he still had to work. Gosh, those guys would rib each other constantly! Mike still refers to John as his "Best UPS Friend". Aimee, we are so very sorry and cannot imagine what you are going through. You and your family are in our prayers and will be for a very long time.

John was one of the special ones, the kind you couldn't help but instantly like and want to hang out with. He was so devoted to Amee and was adored by her mom and grandparents. They couldn't have wished for a better partner for her. They say the good die young and sadly, in this case it's true. He was taken way too soon and those who were fortunate to have known him are feeling the void.

Dear Amee, I had a shop in the village of Wauwatosa, I closed it four years ago. Another shop owner told me today of John's passing. I can honestly say that John was one of the nicest people I ever met. He was pleasant, easy to talk to and always had a smile. I would kid him about wearing shorts as long as he could. He will be missed by the people in the village. I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Sue Webb

Dear Aimee, I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but your amazing husband was so loved by all of his business customers in the village of Wauwatosa. He always had a smile for us all and took such great care of our animals. My dog Maggie went crazy for him!! He just shared with me that you were getting a new puppy and I was looking forward to meeting that new member of your family. I am heartbroken, but wanted you to know how much we all loved and appreciated him. You are in my thoughts and prayers. With love, Cindy Hein

Because of my faith I know John is in Heaven with our Lord right now. He is in the comfort of other family members that have gone before us. This day will come for all but we just never thought John's day would be this soon. John you were an awesome husband for my cousin Amee. I don't think she could have done better. You always put her first. Your nieces and nephews were so crazy about you. I could see that when your entire family was together. You are the Uncle they will never forget. Your humor was the thing that brightened our days. When you were near there was laughter. Bringing smiles to our faces was such an easy thing for you. Right now I feel that I will never laugh like that again. I do know better though. I know that one day I will see your face and laugh with you again. Until we see each other again, keep our Lord in stitches and spread that humor around in Heaven. Each time I hear it thunder I'm going to say "That John Ramos has everyone laughing up there." God Bless and keep on smiling John, it's what we loved about you."

When I heard the news, I was heartbroken. We never really think that those so near and dear to us will ever pass, so I know this must be especially hard on you and I can't imagine what you're going through. I know your family is by your side during this difficult time and know that my love and prayers are with you also.
