John Karl Brandt died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the age of 77. John was the affectionate and dedicated husband of Peggy Brandt for 23 years. John was the proud dad of Stacey (Brent) Williams, Jeff (Janie) Brandt, Jill (Doug) Martin, Brian (LeAnn) Brazelton, and Bill (Lisa) Brazelton. John was blessed with fourteen grandchildren (Paige Williams, Riley Williams, Michael Brandt, Matthew Brandt, Alexandra Martin, Nathaniel Martin, Isabella Martin, Patrick Brazelton, Travis Brazelton, Elizabeth Brazelton, Doug Brazelton, Tony Brazelton, Alex, and Justin) as well as one great grandchild (Colson Brazelton).
“John-Blue” was an energetic member of the Purple Canoe Club and volunteered countless hours in support of any effort focused on finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. He was a loved member of the Lutheran Home family and found a way to touch and brighten the day of the staff, volunteers, and other patients.
John’s passions included socializing with family and friends as well as spending time outdoors fishing, golfing, or piddling in the yard.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff and volunteers at the Lutheran Home for their kindness, dedication, and loving care that they gave to John-Blue for the past several years.
Gathering will be held at The Lutheran Home, 7500 West North Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 1:00 PM. Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to The Alzheimer Association or the Lutheran Home.
