Gramps, you will be missed so very much. I've enjoyed our talks every veteran's day. I remember talking with you and you said I was the first to ever thank you for your service to our country. I remember calling john a few times to remind him to call you too lol. I'll miss talking with you every few months....thank you Mary for helping gramps since grams passed away. He had no one else to help him and I really appreciate it and I know that he did too. Praying for your family during this time. Sending hugs from Texas.
Granddaughter Kelly and Family left a message on August 23, 2017:
I remember going by Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Jacks house and having a sleep over. Grandpa would always say we needed "Sundaes" on Saturdays so he would go to Mcdonalds and buy us them. We would eat our sundaes and watch "Dallas" and "Falcon Crest" and Grandpa Jack would fall asleep and snore. Grandma and I would laugh at him when he would say "I wasn't snoring!". Love you Grandpa always!! Prayers and thoughts to all Grandpas families!

Liz, remember the times we wild go up north and pops wild get so mad at us for snapping our gum and said no gum allowed in car. But he wild be the one to buy our gum. I still laugh about that when I chew gum. Pops taught me so much how to go pick night crawlers and to fish. Will never forget the time I fell off boat at French lake he and mom laughed so hard he said my eyes were bigger than a saucer, then he fell in a few weeks later! When he tried to teach me to golf well he took the clubs away and some have it and some don't and sweet heart you don't, but u well make a good caddy. My first job he taught me how to file my own taxes. So my sympathy to your siblings their husbands/wife's and their children and to his step children. I will hold the good memories close to my heart right next to his wife of 30+ and my mother Ruth "Babe". Thanks Pops for everything I always will love you.
