It is with immense grief that we announce John M. Hall (age 75) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin passed on to join his parents, Frances and James, and beloved sister Kathy Meunier on December 6th, 2023. John, fondly know as Johnny to some, was born to James and Frances Hall, on June 28, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
John is warmly remembered as an adventurous spirit, ferociously independent, a good cop, a goofball, a faithful friend, a wonderful brother, a loving father and a cowboy at heart. His brother recalls memories of his jokester ways while fixing cars together, John would prank Patrick whilst he was hard at work. John had a knack for teaching us not to take ourselves too seriously in life. After graduating from Messmer High School, he joined the Milwaukee Police Department as a police aid. From police aid he quickly advanced on to undercover work to becoming an expert in fingerprinting, working alongside the medical examiner.
Despite his knack for police work, John was a cowboy at heart, spending his free time traveling around the country in his 20s, driving classic cars, avidly pursuing the American Dream. John married twice, a ladies man through and through. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he brokered real estate and excelled at selling a multitude of homes across southeastern Wisconsin. He enjoyed working on cars, playing golf, and spending time with his daughters.
John’s role as a loving father and grandpa will be forever cherished. His daughters fondly remember his many quirks, catchphrases, and pranks. He bestowed great wisdom. He was a patient, loving ear. He taught his girls how to drive, how to swing a golf club with ease, how to budget a yearly salary, to laugh at ourselves and never take ourselves too seriously. He dedicated his life to his girls and grandkids, and his legacy will be remembered with deep reverence.
John is survived by his two daughters, Bridgitte and Nicole, as well as two grandchildren, Clara and Carlos. In addition, his sister Elizabeth, his brother Patrick, his nephew Christopher, his niece Laura Gazzana, and his nieces, Cheryl, Renee, and Kristin. His memory is greatly cherished, forever in our hearts.
