Found peace Sunday, August 2, 2009, age 72. Preceded in death by his brothers Rudolph and Herman, Sr., and nephew Robert. Loving husband of Suzanne (nee Koepke). Devoted father of Terri (Bill) Curtis, John Jr. (Bridget) and Keith. Proud grandpa of Taylor, Brady and Jacob. Brother-in-law of Laverne Fillinger. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Visitation at FOX POINT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 7510 North Santa Monica Boulevard, on Thursday, August 6, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Private entombment at Wisconsin Memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Church are appreciated.John was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was former president of North Milwaukee Lions Club, member of Masonic Lodge George Washington #337 F&AM, and former co-owner of A. Fillinger, Inc.
