John E. Pierce Jr, 77, passed suddenly at 1:10 a.m., Sunday, July 22, 2018, in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Memorial Hospital.
John was born March 23rd, 1941, in West Allis, WI and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a Beautician, and was quite skilled at it with many repeat customers who raved about the styles he created.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Debbie. Handsome sons John (wife Christy), Greg (fiancée Leann), and Mike. Talented and intelligent grandchildren Amanda, Elizabeth, and Brandon (known to Brandon as “Santa Papa” or “Buddha”). Sisters Pat (husband Jim Yesko), and Judy (husband Nick Romano). Brother in law to Pam (husband John Hartig). Multiple nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Verna, from Antigo, WI.
John lived as an avid hunter and fisherman. Whether cruising the lake in his bass boat, or stalking through the hogsback in the thick stuff chasing the trophy buck, life was grand while outdoors participating in both activities. He enjoyed the “up north” lifestyle so much; he and his wife Debbie purchased land in Antigo and constructed a beautiful home on the property for themselves and the family to enjoy. Another passion of his was traveling, having taken three cruises, along with multiple trips to Florida and Disney with family. John was extremely talented building things with his hands. So much so, he held side jobs doing construction. Through his experience, he utilized his talents to build a rec room in their Milwaukee area home where many a celebration and holiday get-together was had. John forever will be remembered as a fun loving, caring man who was most at home being with family; always enjoying his favorite beverages (Martinis) and telling bad jokes that made us all laugh regardless. With remembrances, don’t forget to “Dip it in the blue Cheer, smells fine, hang it on the line”. Toot-Toot-Tootsie, Goodbye…….
Private services were held at Krause Funeral Home, Milwaukee, WI.
