Joan Marlene Kavanagh

Joined her beloved husband, Paul, on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the age of 85. Loving mom of Paul and Kathy Kavanagh. Further survived by Denise (Al) Wheeler, A.J. Wheeler, Samantha Yanke, Marilyn Bauer, close friends Pat Dybro, Nancy Beck and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; John J. and Ann V. Habanek, cherished cousins/”siblings” Audrae Buchta, Eleanore “Dolly” Brown & Donald Bauer, special niece Sandee Buchta and K-9 companions; Blackie, Sparky, Dexter, Ciara, Seamus and Fredrik.
Joan was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and season ticket holder, following them and Brett Favre to New Orleans to watch them win the Super Bowl. She loved travelling with her family to Florida, Las Vegas, Cancun and Hawaii. She especially enjoyed Ephraim in Door County, eating at Wilson’s and going through the shops. She always dreamed of a trip to Ireland, but unfortunately, never was able to make it there.
Joan loved baking desserts and decorating cakes for many family functions and birthdays. She treasured birthday celebrations with Sandee, Denise and Kathy. She enjoyed her “dinner club” with friends; Pat, Nancy, the late Carol Schneider and their spouses.
Visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 12700 West Howard Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, 53151, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
