Jerome Litzau, Sr.

Passed away peacefully Sunday, October 19, 2008, age 79. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Litzau. Beloved husband of Irene (nee Swencki). Loving dad of Pete, Jerome, Jr., the late Linda Litzau. Dear brother of Charles (Joan), Bob, the late Mary Ann (Virgil) Tangney. Brother-in-law of Eleanor Gregory. Also loved by other relatives and friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, October 23, 4:00-7:00 PM. Rosary and VFW service at 7:00 PM. Visitation at the Funeral Home Friday 11:00 AM – 12:00 noon. Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon. Burial to follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, Wisconsin. Jerome was a proud veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of and active in many organizations, including: Carpenters Local #264 for 55 years, Carpenter Retirees Club #106, past President Holy Name Society at Our Lady of the Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Korean War veteran serving with the 79th Engineer Construction Battalion, past Commander 5th District VFW, past Commander Brown Deer Memorial #8099, past Sean Squirrel Military Order of the Cootie Pup Tent #28, Life Member VFW Cpl. Henry Schafer Post #2923, member Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 227 serving as Judge Advocate, and member American Legion General Charles King Post #406, Member City of Milwaukee Veterans Day Parade Committee.
