Jennifer Marie Compton (nee Minar), cherished mother, wife, sister, and friend, departed this life on July 22, 2024, in Columbia, SC. Born on October 19, 1969, in Milwaukee, WI, Jennifer’s 54 years were marked by an unwavering commitment to her family, her career, and her community.
First and foremost, Jennifer loved God and was a follower of Jesus Christ. Throughout her years, Jennifer was known for her compassionate heart and innate ability to uplift those around her. She dedicated many years to the medical profession, serving with heartfelt dedication at Curtis Ambulance. Her selfless nature and care for others have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to work alongside her.
Jennifer’s devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sara Stehno; her husband, Josh Compton; her siblings, Kathy Hackbarth, Mary Jane Jansuz, and Michael Thiemer, and her grandsons Eric and Thomas Stehno. She will always hold a place in the hearts of nieces, Elizabeth Olson and Abbie Gilewski, and nephews Tim Hackbarth, Jeff Windus, and Gabe Alboruas as well as her grandnieces Emma, Elaina Eylee, Alexa, Saylor and Collins; grandnephews Kobey, Kannon, Lucas and a circle of close relatives and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Richard and Marilyn Minar, and her nephew, Eric Obermann.
Jennifer was the life of the party, always ensuring those around her were having a good time. Her commitment to her family and friends was unparalleled, always going above and beyond to ensure their wellbeing. She had a profound love for spending time on the beach, spoiling her two beloved pugs, and cherishing moments at her beach house with visiting family members.
Jennifer’s life and legacy will be celebrated by all those she touched with her generous spirit and joyful demeanor.
Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, 10:00 AM – 11:45 PM Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
