Dear Jessyca, Peter and the Hoettels family, I am sorry for your loss. I will always remember Jeanne as a warm hearted being, and I am glad I had met her. Having been fortunate that she took me under her caring wings when I was a foreign exchange student I will for ever remain grateful for her love and support. I remain thankful for her hospitality, guidance, time, and for ALWAYS having been there if in need. Although she left this world, in my heart and memories she will live on. Nonetheless I miss her. Her laugh, voice, jokes, her being Jeanne. Damn. All the best to you! Oliver

I met Jeanne through the Kath and Stephan families. She always had a smile for you and time to visit and listen to you. I have many good memories of visiting with John and Jeanne at the lake. She was a wonderful, caring person. I’m so glad I had the chance to know her.

Jeanne, you have been in my life since I was 16, and you have always been a kind, generous dear friend. I have memories of Tupperware parties at your house with you and your mom and friends and family members. We went racing with our hubbies together and drank endless cups of coffee around Roxanne’s table, talking. I was so inspired by you working step by step to get your teaching degree. You knew what you wanted and kept working hard, year after year, while taking care of your family. You were always a good role model to, “eye on the prize”, with due diligence. And you knew what you wanted to do- you loved children! They were your world. All the precious kids you nurtured and taught, with patience and love. I recently wrote to you, to ask you if you’d like more books, as you loved reading. It was 3 days before your passing. You said you would love more books and said, “ Winter has been interesting. My health getting better little by little. I will be restarting a chair yoga class this week. I am really looking forward to the social aspects of the new housing situation. I love my apartment ! I am hoping to get a pet, I am allowed a dog or cat as long as they are under 25 pounds.” I was stunned to hear you had passed with so much ahead. My daughter who you knew too, who works in hospice care as a nurse, comforted me with these words. “ I’m sorry about Jeanne mom. It sounds like she didn’t know it was coming and I think that is a gift in itself. She was able to enjoy life until the end. Sounds like she was living. Just moved, looking forward to things. That seems like she didn’t have to know and I would take that over knowing I was terminal/dying. Still, it doesn’t make it any easier to loose someone.” I want to remember her this way, enjoying life, living it happily. She always posted for us to tell the ones we love we love them, that tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Rest in Peace my dear friend. ❤️❤️ My condolences to Jess and Peter, her pride and joy. Dave, so many memories of you two together❤️ And Lindy, who I met through Jeanne. May your tears, in time turn into smiles as you remember times with Jeanne. ❤️
