Jay “Ski” Ervin Zurowski. Passed away to eternal life on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the age 68. Beloved husband for 25 spectacular years to Jane (nee Eckert), son of Ervin and Lois (nee Berglund) of Milwaukee, cherished father of Chris (Monica) Eckert in New Berlin, proud grandfather of Spencer, Isaac, and Zelie Eckert, loving brother of Sue (Earl) Mullins, and one-of-a-kind uncle to Christy Mullins. He is also survived by a large, loving family of cousins and other caring relatives.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jay graduated from Marshall High School in Milwaukee in 1974. He met the love of his life, Jane, while participating in Milwaukee’s famous pastime, bowling. He spent his career as a truck driver, most recently at YES Equipment in Menomonee Falls, WI, with a crew that he truly enjoyed. Besides bowling, he enjoyed spending his free time with his wife volunteering as a crew/chase member for various hot air balloon teams, which sent them traveling across the USA.
When he wasn’t in the skies or knocking down pins, he was a LOUDLY passionate fan of the Milwaukee Bucks, Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. He always cheered the loudest for his grandkids, and was proud of all of their accomplishments. Later in life, he lived in Brookfield, WI, and enjoyed spending time with his fur buddy Aussie, Snickers.
A private gathering will be held at a later date. He will always be loved and greatly missed by his friends and family.
