Died February 27, 2014, at the age of 83 due to complications from an earlier stroke. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon (nee O'Grady) and his loving parents, Martin and Dorothy O'Brien. Survived by siblings, Martin (Corrine), Charles (Joyce), Dorothy (Michael) Ray, and Michael (Suzanne). Jim also will be remembered fondly by all of his nephews and nieces and many close friends including the O'Grady family.
Jim received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1953 and an MBA from Marquette University. He had a successful career in Quality Management with several local companies before starting his own consulting business.
Jim was actively engaged in the faith communities of Good Shepherd in Menomonee Falls and St. Benedict's in Milwaukee and actively engaged in peace and justice issues.
The family wishes to thank all of the parish members and friends who visited Jim during his time in extended care. We would especially like to thank the nursing staff and therapists at ManorCare in Pewaukee for their compassionate care during Jim's stay there.
