James W. Mack, D.D.S., age 67, of Pewaukee, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2017.
Jim was born on March 25, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois to Benjamin and Ann Mack. He grew up in Waukegan, Illinois with his brother Tom, sister Carolyn, and cousin Tom Pojunas. Jim converted to a Packers fan when he moved to Milwaukee to attend Marquette University. He graduated from Marquette Dental School in 1975, and met his wife, Mary, shortly thereafter. In his over 40 years in practice as a dentist in Milwaukee and Delafield, Jim had many loyal patients, and employees who became family.
Jim truly lived his life to the fullest. He was a devout Catholic. He loved traveling, attending sporting events, including Marquette Warriors basketball games, and skiing. He enjoyed living on Pewaukee Lake and was an avid boater, floater, jet skier and sailor. But Jim’s real passion was golf. He had standing tee times with his golfing buddies for over 40 years, and was ever hopeful for another hole in one.
Jim was a devoted husband to Mary for 38 years. He adored his girls, Julie (Nolan) Ott and Kathryn (Kevin) Kuwik, and was a doting grandpa to Adam, Emily, and Natalie. He was the most caring, generous, and wonderful man you’d ever hope to meet. He lived by the golden rule, and he will be greatly missed by his family, many friends, and all who knew him.
