Found peace January 17, 2012, age 63. Beloved husband and best friend of Ellen S. Plecha (nee Nowacki). Dear dad of Kelly (Melissa) Fields, Juliann (Anders) Christianson, Keith (Heidi) Fields and the late Kevin Fields. Step-father of Mark (Tracy) Plecha. Grandfather of 19 and great-grandad of 1. Preceded in death by 1 brother. Survived by 2 sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.James worked for the City of Milwaukee as a tool and die maker and machinist. He retired from being an executive board member of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council. He was president of AFSCME Local 33 and a contract administrator of District Council 48.Visitation at the Funeral Home, Saturday, January 21, Noon-2:45 PM. Service 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Hunger Task Force or the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
