James C. “Jim” Inloes, 88, of Pewaukee, WI passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2017.
James was born in Oxford, OH to Emma (Murrell) and Carl Inloes on November 21, 1928. He married the love of his life, Edith Inloes on June 17, 1951.
Jim graduated from Miami University, Oxford Ohio and proceeded to University of Michigan obtaining his degree in architecture.
He went to work as a staff architect for Hormel in Austin, Minnesota. In 1962 he received a chance of a lifetime; moving to Racine, WI to join the SC Johnson corporate architecture team. During his tenure at SC Johnson he moved up the career ladder to Director of Corporate Architecture. Jim was responsible for all construction of SC Johnson plants throughout the world; travelling to many spots around the globe Jim was responsible for the historic preservation of many of the SC Johnson, Frank Lloyd Wright buildings including SC Johnson’s Wingspread. His love of architecture and travel with Edie was a perfect fit.
He retired from SC Johnson in 1985, moving to Hendersonville, NC to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
Jim was very active in Hendersonville, NC; working with his church, Special Olympics and serving on various architectural boards.
He is survived by his four children; Christopher, Brenda, Brian (Angela), David and his five grandchildren; Michael, Elizabeth, Emma, John and Mary.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Carl Inloes and his wife of 62 years, Edith Bell Inloes.
The family would like to thank the Kirkland Crossing Memory Care staff for their utmost loving and compassionate care of Jim.
We would also like to thank ProHealth hospice for their end of life compassionate care.
Memorial Services will be held at Kirkland Crossing Chapel, 700 Quinlan Drive, Pewaukee, Wisconsin at 4:30 PM, October 12, 2017 with Rev. Dr. Lisa Schmatzhagen officiating.
