James George Mondry, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on June 22, 2024, at the age of 84. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family and friends.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, on October 1, 1939, Jim was the son of Frank and Margaret Mondry. In 1959, Jim married the love of his life, Joan (nee Dierbeck). Together, they raised four children: Mike, Shelly, Kris, and Denise. Jim was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed his winters in Sebring, Fl playing cards, shuffleboard and golf. Watching a sunset over Lake Jackson was one of his favorite past times. He was known for his quick wit, his love for the Milwaukee Brewers, and his unwavering support for those he loved.
Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Denise. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan, his children Mike (Amy), Shelly (Dan), Kris (Dan) and his cherished grandchildren, Brandon (Clarisse), Kyle (Katie), Katie (Matt), Alex (Michelle), Carlie, and his great grandchildren Ainsley, Ada, Jack, and Noah.
A Catholic Mass to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, N35 W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, WI on July 16, 2024. Visitation from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by a Catholic Mass at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Jim’s honor.
Jim will forever be remembered for his warm heart, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Rest in peace, Jim. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always.
