Born to eternal life December 14, 2015, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Harry Seyfert. Loving mother of Judy (Bryan) Norman and Karen (David) Naumann. Proud grandmother of Rebecca, Jennifer, William, the late Robert, and Jodi. Great Grandmother to Brooke, Nathaniel, Bethany and Harleigh. Very dear sister to the late Phillip (Judy) Simon and Darlene (the late Harold) Pethke. Also loved by nieces, a nephew, cousins and friends.
Jalania was born in 1929 to the late August and Hulda Simon on a farm in the town of Bonduel. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Pauls Lutheran Church and attended Bonduel High School. Upon graduation she moved to Milwaukee where she met and married Harry. When Harry retired they moved to Spring Hill, Florida where they enjoyed twenty years of sunshine, friends and gardening before moving back to Milwaukee to be near family. They were active at Grace Lutheran Church in Spring Hill, Florida and also the Wisconsin Club. Upon returning to Wisconsin they moved to New Berlin and become members of Blessed Savior Lutheran Church, New Berlin.
Throughout her lifetime, Jalania enjoyed her life as wife, mother, homemaker and grandmother. She also enjoyed her time gardening, knitting, sewing, and baking and then sharing that knowledge of each of those as a leader of the Busy Bees 4H Club.
After returning to Wisconsin, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Harry was taken to his eternal home.
Jalania spent the last five years at Luther Manor with an awesome staff including everyone from the receptionists and nurses to the food service employees and finally the hospice staff. Her church family from Blessed Savior continued to support and visit her throughout those years.
She's left an emptiness in our lives but we are happy that God has brought her to her eternal home to spend this Christmas in heaven.
