Found his peace on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Age 71. Loving dad of Howard (Peggy) Mayer, Mark (Sherri) Mayer, Sarah (Mark) Foster and Christine (Chad) Toliver. Grandfather of 11. Dear brother of Frank (the late Mary) Mayer. Further survived by nephews Mike, Craig and Kevin Mayer.

Visitation at the Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Friday, October 24, from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Funeral service to begin at 12:00 PM. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery.

Howie was a devoted Police Officer of 35 years for the Milwaukee Police Department.
